Real Madrid beat Osasuna 2-1 in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday, with Brazilian forward Rodrygo scoring both goals in a closely contested match.

Real Madrid got off to a strong start, with Rodrygo opening the scoring just two minutes into the game. The Brazilian received a pass from Vinicius Junior on the edge of the box and finished past Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera with a low shot.

However, Osasuna fought back and equalized in the 58th minute through a goal from forward L. Toro.

Real Madrid continued to push forward, and Rodrygo scored the decisive goal in the 70th minute. After a quick passing move involving Marcelo and Luka Modric, the ball fell to Rodrygo on the left-hand side of the box, and he calmly placed a shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Osasuna tried to get back into the game, but Real Madrid defended well and held on for the victory.

The win was a significant boost for Real Madrid, who have had a challenging season with multiple injuries and disappointing performances in La Liga and the Champions League. It was also Carlo Ancelotti’s second Copa del Rey triumph with the club.

Real Madrid will face Manchester City on May 9th in the UEFA Champions League semi-final, a crucial game for their hopes of winning the tournament. The victory against Osasuna will give them a confidence boost as they prepare for the game.
