“Seeking Forgiveness” Dominates Kano Assembly Valedictory Session.

The 8th Assembly of Kano State legislative House has finally come to the conclusion on Friday after four consecutive years of deliberation.

In an emotionally larden valedictory session presided by the outgoing-Speaker and member-elect federal house of representative, Hon Kabiru Alhassan Rurum.

During his speech, Hon. Rurum highlited some of the milestone achievement during his tenure.

He says the Kano 8th assembly which was inaugurated precisely four years ago has achieved considerably in the areas of passing bills into laws and numerous motions contributed by the members, which have impacted to betterment of Kano populace in general.

“During the four-year tenure, 58 bills were passed into laws, passed 68 motions, 93 special and adhoc committee reports and also successfully confirmed 400 executive appointments” Speaker said.

Hon Kabiru Rurum added that the bundles of achievements recorded so far recorded within four years, during his two-time as the House Speaker are something to write home about in the course of thier representation.

“Our hearts goes out to the family to the family of deceased colleague, member representing Minjibir local government area, Hon. Hamisu Gurjiya whom we started this 8th assembly, and today he’s not alive to witness the historic valedictory session, May his soul rest in peace” he solemnly added.

While presenting their valedictory comments, the entire House members unanimously focused on seeking their colleague’s forgiveness in the course of mutual interaction within their official engagements.

“I really congratulate our colleagues, Hon Speaker Rurum and his counterpart Hon Dala for going to the federal house of representative to represent their respective constituencies, May Allah compliments their hope and zeal to deliver on the pledges made to their peoples.” Hon Doguwa.

The valedictory plenary session was honourably grace by the former state House speakers and some of their deputies, who came to register their blessing for the successful conclusion of 8th assembly and pray for the brighter hope of the forthcoming of 9th Assembly slated to take off on Monday 10th Jue, 2019.
