As the race for the next Governor of the South Western State of Ekiti hots up, information reaching us indicated that the Governor of the state, Ayodele Fayose and his friends have launched a set of propaganda campaigns with the sole aim of blackmailing the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, ( APC) in the July 14, 2018 election in the state,  Dr Kayode Fayemi, his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi and other top party officials.

It was revealed that the propaganda campaign is to be coordinated by two South African Information Technology experts with the local support staff led by Fayose’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka.

We gathered from reliable sources that the fund was partly raised by Governor Fayose, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and a close confidant of Fayose, who we learned is currently serving jail terms for drug trafficking in London.

Sources revealed further, “The propaganda group has secured two hotels in Ado Ekiti where 11 men and three young girls recruited for the campaign are accommodated at state expense.

“The South Africans flew into the country on June 12 and were met at the Lagos Airport by some Ekiti protocol officials.

“Under the project dubbed “OPERATION COBRA” the Fayose propaganda team will issue false statements and make-belief video clips attributed to Fayemi, his wife and party topshots.”

Unconfirmed report has it that the group is to set up fake internet accounts for two mainstream newspapers, The Punch and The Nation and two leading online media, Sahara Reporters and Premium Times.

Investigations revealed that the South Africans behind two existing game accounts, premiumtimesng and another Saharanews aimed at confusing millions of online and print newspaper readers.

Those who should know insisted that the group also plans to send phantom bulk messages to Ekiti workers and traditional rulers by cloning Dr Fayemi’s cellphone numbers.

“Other plots of the group are to “create confusion, destroy the unity of the APC, penetrate and destabilse them through massive propaganda and destroy public image of the APC and Fayemi in the view of Ekiti workers and residents.

“The proposal was designed after Fayose had engaged three research experts in the past four weeks all of which concluded that the APC and Dr. Fayemi will win the July 14 elections with a wide margin.”

It was revealed that the APC, Fayemi and his wife will be put under severe heat through orchestrated online campaign, mainstreaming and attribution of false statements to them. The campaign will be total and overwhelming.

Target audience of the projects are said to be “civil servants, students, workers, women and youth groups, security operatives and the supporters of Dr. Fayemi as well as the APC.”

We were told that masterminds of the campaign plan to issue statements saying that Fayemi would sack Ekiti workers, and that he would introduce examinations for teachers and demote traditional rulers.

The campaign of calumny is said to include releasing of fake list of Fayemi’s proposed cabinet and also a list of fake properties that would be wrongly linked to him.

“The plot also included stimulated violence that would be falsely attributed to the APC in order to portray the party as “vicious and violent,” said a source.

We gathered that a dedicated account is to be opened for the project that would help more than N500 Million in less than one month, but that the people of Ekiti State are getting set to vote for Kayode Fayemi “to continue his laudable projects that were undertaken between 2010 and 2014, when he served the state for his first term.
