The political firmament in Kwara state, the north central region of the country will definitely witness a complete turn-around in 2019 owing to the decision of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to dismantle the age long hegemony of the late Olusola Saraki dynasty in the state as represented and being perpetuated by the scion of the Saraki’s in the person of maverick politician and incumbent Senate President, Bukola Saraki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The APC, which is the opposition political party in Kwara state, in a deft political move has decided to field a very formidable candidate as its gubernatorial candidate in the person of Alhaji Abdulraman Abdulrazak.

Abdulraman is the multibillionaire oil magnate and Chairman of First Fuel Nigeria Limited, one of the most successful indigenous oil companies in the country. To many APC enthusiasts in Kwara, there is no better candidate that can destroy the overbearing stronghold in the state than Abdulraman who is a self- made man with intimidating network of billionaire friends, loyalists and dependents in Nigeria, Africa and across the globe.

To those who don’t know, billionaire Abdulraman Abdulrazak is the 3rd child of Alhaji Abdul Ganiu Folorunsho Abdulraza, the first lawyer and first Senior advocate of Nigeria in the whole of northern region. He did not just stumble into reckoning over the night, but has certainly paid his dues and sources revealed he deserves the good fortunes that might have fallen on him.

Before we dig into how ,Abdulrazak became Bukola Saraki’s nightmare, let’s talk about his unknown rise to prominence and wealth without laying claims to the family wealth and affluence in the state and country.

Rahman, as he’s popularly called reportedly went into the lucrative oil business when fate brought him close to a former military president, Ibahim Badamosi Babangida.

“He got his oil block license during IBB regime, through IBB’s cousin who lived on Rahman’s generosity and large heart when both of them were students in the UK.

Rahman according to our source returned to Nigeria broke when he had isssues with his father on his life styles in UK.

“His father was not pleased with his life style as a young man with many adventures and expected exuberances. Rahman later started living with his elder sister, Senator Khairat Gwadabe in Lagos. Rahman is her favorite and she loves him with a passion as her younger brother.

“He was living with Kharat till he met his old pal in Britain who took him to IBB at Dodan barrack. The former military president was said to have asked Rahman what he wanted since his friend spoke so glowingly of him while in UK as a student.

“ lBB gave him an oil block license since he told IBB that is what he wanted. That was how Rahman started the journey that turned his life around. He got one of the best brains in town then in person of Ronke Onadeko as the General Manager of First Fuel. She is now MD of BNP Paribas, a French bank in Nigeria.

“Ronke used her wide network for First Fuel with Rahman as the Managing director, and he exhibited such large heartedness that in no time he became a mentor to the likes of Wale Tinubu, Tonye Cole, Ade Odunsi and Tope Sonubi just to mention few. He also established a strong link with NNPC and the likes of Stella Odua as a close confidants and lots of others.

“Rahman was already a billionaire when Bukola Saraki was just leaving Medical school in U.K.

Rahman diversified into many businesses including a partnership with the late Ahmed Uwabetini of 11:45 club when he invested heavily in the business.

The silver spoon but self-made man is a lover of cars as his garage boasts of varieties of cars from Ferrari and porches to other exotic wonders on wheels.

Said to be highly connected with the powerful business men of this world and this was exibited when his sister was getting married in 1999 to Col.Lawan Gwadabe (rtd) in Ilorin he was the one that brought Aliko Dangote with his private jet to the wedding,

Rahman we gathered always tell people that despite his fathers’ connections in Nigeria and abroad he has never leveraged on his father link for once even when he was the president of the Nigeria Stock Exchange, that he struggled for himself to get to the top.

With Rahman’s humongous wealth and goodwill from Kwara people, millions of APC supporters are ecstatic that the era of the Saraki political empire will soon be over as the 2019 general election gets nearer.
