Makinde’s Award As Best Governor of Year 2023 Made Us Proud – Oyo Heads Of MDAs

The Forum of Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries, and other heads of MDAs on Tuesday congratulated the Governor of Oyo State. Engr, Seyi Makinde, on his Award of Excellence as the Best Governor of The Year 2023 by Leadership Newspaper, one of the leading newspapers in Nigeria.

It was stated in a statement issued and signed by the Chairman of the forum, the Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni mni and made available by Abiodun Atilola, that Governor Seyi Makinde has performed creditable well in the last four and half years of his administration.

The statement said that Governor Makinde is running a people centric government, a government that benefits all and sundry in the state irrespective of the political affiliations.

The Accounting Officers of the Ministries Departments and Agencies unanimously stated that in this troubled time, Governor Makinde slashed the price of public transportation by 50 percent, which they said made the movement of the people from one place to another easy.

The forum rose from their meeting at the House of Chiefs Secretariat, Ibadan, where they aligned themselves with the position of the Leadership Newspaper that Governor Makinde is the Governor of the Year 2023 without fear or favor.

“Regular payment of salaries and allowances of the civil servants, payment of pensions and gratuity, ditto leave bonus and increment of car and housing loan for Civil/Public Servants, his security architecture, fund management and above all the infrastructural projects across the State is commendable,” the statement read.

The forum in the statement made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital maintained that security architecture across the seven Geo-Political Zones of the state is worthy of emulation, hinting that there is peace and tranquility in the pacesetter state since the assumption of office Engr Seyi Makinde-led administration in Oyo State.

“We are all living witnesses, Governor Makinde has been able to connect all the zones in the state with good road networks. Through Moniya-Iseyin road, Ibadan zone has been connected to Oke-Ogun zone; through Oyo-Iseyin road, Oyo zone has been linked to Oke-Ogun zone; through the ongoing Ogbomoso-Fapote-Iseyin road, Ogbomoso zone is being linked to Oke-Ogun zone; and through the Ido-Eruwa road, Ibadan zone is linked to Ibarapa zone.

“On behalf of the Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries. Executive Secretaries, General Managers, Tutor Generals and Inspector Generals of Education in the State, we congratulate the people’s Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on his deserving award as the Governor of the Year 2023, this reinforce our believe that truly there is reward for hardwork,” the statement said.
