The Secretary of Akure South Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Donald Fasua has said his decision to contest as chairman of Akure South Local Goverment is to change the narratives by making the council a cynosure of all eyes in Ondo State.

He said that he is optimistic that the party will provide a level playing field for all contestants before and during the election.

Fasua made the assertion in an interview on Friday in Akure. He said his contributions to the party stand him in good stead to clinch the party’s ticket.

“I have the confidence that my numerous contributions to the party as well as my leadership qualities will make party members to massively vote for me,” he stated.

“I am contesting to add value, taking development to the grassroots and making sure everyone have a good feel of government presence”

He added that his primary constituency has been the people and If the people entrust him with their mandate, he will serve the good people of the local government area, and leave no stone unturned to deliver on his mandate which is to work hard and make the council a beehive of activities.

“I am committed to rework the system by changing the way we look at things in our polity. I am going to create a workable solution that will increase the internally generated revenue of the local government and stop our dependence on JAAC every month.

Fasua said he would serve with undiluted love through massive investment in functional Primary Health Care System with free drugs.

According to him, well equipped educational facilities and genuine empowerment programmes will be provided for youths and women in the community.

My performance in office as chairman of Akure South helmsman will herald a new era of winning every elective position for our party, the All Progressives Congress.
