Eid-El-Maulud: Alao Urges Muslim Faithfuls To Emulate Prophet Muhammad

Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao has extended warm greetings to Muslims and entire citizens of Oyo State on the occasion of the Eid-el-Maulud; the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

The former governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in his message to mark this year’s Eid-el-Maulud by his Media Office, enjoined Muslim Ummah to endeavour to live by the teachings of the Islamic Prophet, Muhammad bin Abdullah.
According to him, it is a period for Muslim Ummah to rededicate themselves to the ideals of peaceful co-existence, compassion, unity of Prophet Muhammad and absolute submission to the will of the Almighty Allah.
Alao also called on them to work with other religious denominations for peace and sustainable growth and development of the society, stating that it is important to extend hand of fellowship to the needy and vulnerable in the spirit of the season with supplication to Almighty Allah.
“I wish all Muslim faithfuls.all over the world, especially our dear Oyo State happy and remarkable Eid-El-Maulud celebrations to mark the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ( Peace be upon him). By celebrating him today, it is to acknowledge the positive impact that his teachings brought to us as Muslim faithful and also sign on to the commitment of following his footsteps.
“It is my belief that as adherents we should make deliberate efforts to ensure that his teachings, which are predominantly on tolerance, sacrifice, peaceful coexistence, abstinence, honesty and generosity are engraved in our hearts, Indeed, the universal truth of the values he stood for remains unmovable.
“It is my fervent prayer that the Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercies, would grant us the grace to witness many more years of happy and joyful celebrations of the birth of our noble Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),” he said.
