APC MUST NOT LOSE KATSINA TO PDP- JESUTEGA ONOKPASA

Published

The Katsina State People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Gubernatorial candidate, Yakubu Lado Danmarke, was recently recorded most brazenly issuing a threat to life to a policeman in the person of the DPO of Kankara Division!

Indeed, Senator Yakubu Lado is so full of himself as to threaten a cop for intervening in a clearly orchestrated attack by his supporters on the motorcade of the Katsina State All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Candidate, Dr. Umar Dikko Radda, while on its way through Danmarke community in the course of his campaign tour.

It is simply unconscionable that someone who claims he wants to be a governor in a state already seriously plagued by the menace of banditry should, himself, end up behaving like a bandit.

Indeed, shame on Senator Yakubu Lado for such heinous brigandage!

There is no longer even a scintilla of doubt that Yakubu Lado, himself, masterminded the shameful attack on Dr. Radda’s convoy in his ancestral community.

Dr. Radda had already successfully visited every ward across all local government areas in the state without incident till he passed by Senator Lado’s village.

It is quite clear that Senator Lado sees himself as some sort of demigod in his community and Katsina State, at large.

Needless to say, such narcissism and megalomania only serve to render him uniquely unqualified to hold any kind of public office, much less that of Governor!

The good people of Katsina, already tormented more than enough by bandits, as it is, cannot possibly afford a man with the unmistakable inclinations of an outlaw, dictator and potentate in their Government House.

It is, doubtless, a shame that Senator Lado has not been taken into custody after flagrantly breaching public peace and threatening the life of a police officer, as he has done.

There is obviously an orchestrated plot, amongst our collective enemies as a nation, to ensure that President Muhammadu Buhari leaves office in disgrace.

The ongoing currency and fuel scarcity crisis are incontrovertible pointers to the existence of that diabolical agenda.

There are those hellbent on ensuring our President is succeeded by his enemies and his legacy frittered away.

This is what frames the plots, sabotage, subterfuges and shenanigans against the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of the APC, and, the one and only man guaranteed to uphold and build upon that legacy.

I am convinced that ensuring that Katsina is stolen by PDP in this election is also a top priority of those who want to see our President leave office in shame.

It is our collective duty as a party, across this country, to ensure that Tinubu is our next President and that our current President’s home state is not claimed from us by the opposition.

All politics is ultimately local and it would amount to a disgrace of monumental proportions for the ruling party to lose Katsina, of all states, in these elections.

Thankfully, the good people of Katsina have in Dr. Radda, a man most eminently qualified to be Governor, not only anywhere in Nigeria, but, absolutely anywhere in the world!

It is the PDP that has decided to field a thug with absolutely no achievements of his own.

Where Dr. Radda is indisputably a true self-made man of the people, the entirety of Senator Lado’s political credibility resides in the political legacy of his father.

If, at his age, all Lado can showcase is his father, he is a complete disgrace and most unfit to be a governor.

We cannot have candidates for elections physically attacking their opponents and then imperiously turning around to threaten the police for doing its job to uphold public peace.

That would only amount to a perfect recipe for the enthronement of absolute and unbridled anarchy across the land.

As a party, the APC must not joke with these elections at any level.

Asiwaju will still win, whether they like it or not, but he needs our party people down ballot to be able to successfully transform this country.

We have the very best candidates across all positions in the coming polls.

Frankly, it is time we went for broke in the impending contests.

Our national irreducible minimum is to ensure that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the next President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As we do that we must ensure our other candidates emerge victorious, as well.

Needless to say, we cannot allow the home state of our current President to be captured by the pathological thieves in the PDP.
