Olu Adde Honours Shaba Ibrahim With Chieftaincy Title

Hon SHABA Ibrahim, the Sodangi Lakwaja will on Saturday be conferred with the tittle, Otunba Gbadeniyi by the Olu Adde of Ekinrin Adde, HRH, Oba Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, (Ahe Maworo1)

The Federal Legislator will be one of the five personalities to be so honoured at this year’s Ekinrin Adde Cultural Day Celebration June 19.

Alh. Shaba Isa Ibrahim was born into the family of Alhaji Ahmadu Ibrahim Kaka of Koton-Karfe.
He started his Primary School Education in St. Mary LSMB Primary School Lokoja and finished in 1977. He attended GSS Ilorin and passed out in 1982. He was admitted into the School of Basic Studies, Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin and graduated in 1984. Between 1985 and 1987, he obtained his Diploma in Law from the same College and even emerged the Best Graduating Student of that year.
He went further to the Prestigious University of Jos for his LLB between 1987 and 1990 after which he went to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos between 1990-1991. He was called to the Bar in 1991 and did his National Youth Service Corps in Imo State in 1991-1992.

He was appointed Acting Company Secretary of Atlas Securities and Investment Limited, Lagos, which is a Finance House with a bias in Foreign Exchange dealings. He left the Company in 1995 as a confirmed Company Secretary.

He worked briefly with the Law Firm of A.O. Musa & Co in Lokoja between 1995 and 1996 after which he set up his own Law Firm in conjunction with his Associates Ibrahim Yakubu, made up of Solicitors along Marine road before moving to Ado Ibrahim Road, GRA, where his office is presently located.

Hon. Barr. Shaba Ibrahim has a Masters Degree in Law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
As fortune will have it and having played active supporting role in the career and indeed, emergence of several political office holders, Hon. Shaba Ibrahim decided it’s time he ventured into active politics himself.

In January 2008, he was appointed Caretaker Chairman of Kogi LGA and then became democratically elected Executive Chairman of Kogi LGA in July, 2008.

Hon. Barr. Shaba Ibrahim, who derives joy in providing service to humanity, through the practice of Law and also enjoys interacting with fellow humans irrespective of class became a darling of several politically active environment whose need for qualitative representation became a major need in our environment.

While preparing for the bigger assignment and in the course of serving the people and interacting with them, Hon. Barr. Shaba Ibrahim was appointed a Special Adviser on multilateral relation By the Kogi State Government under His Excellency, Capt. Idris Wada.

When his political associate and a third term Member representing Lokoja/Kogi-Kotonkarfe Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. (Arc) Umar Buba Jibril left the political scene as a result of his demise, the natural choice of the people of the Federal Constituency became Hon. Barr. Shaba Ibrahim. Hence, by God’s Divine power and the People’s mandate, Hon. Barr. Shaba Ibrahim, the Sodangi of Maigarin Lakwaja is the Member Representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

Hon shaba was recently conferred with d title of sodangi Lakwaja, by His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi the 3rd, Bagadozhi!!!
