Mrs. Victoria Oyedepo, wife of renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria and EFCC prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo, has earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Nursing Science from Babcock University, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State.

She was conferred with the doctorate degree during the university’s 14th convocation ceremony on Thursday, where she was recognized for her academic excellence and impactful research in public health nursing.

A mother of four, Mrs. Oyedepo successfully completed a rigorous academic journey, culminating in the defense of her doctoral thesis titled: “Effect of Educational Intervention on Knowledge and Self-Reported Preventive Practices of Non-Communicable Diseases Among Teachers in Selected Local Government Areas, Lagos State, Nigeria.”

Her research, which focused on community and public health, was supervised by Professor Patience Edoho Samson-Akpan, with Professors Adeshola Ogunfowokan and Isaiah Abolarin serving as internal and external examiners.

Family, friends, colleagues, and members of the legal and academic communities gathered to celebrate her at a reception held in her honour at the university guest house after the convocation ceremony.

The Oyedepo family expressed deep gratitude to God for the milestone and acknowledged the steadfast support that has sustained them through the years.

Mrs. Oyedepo’s achievement stands as a beacon of inspiration—particularly to women striving to balance academic and professional goals with the demands of family life. Her journey underscores the power of resilience, discipline, and faith.

Her husband, Rotimi Iseoluwa Oyedepo, SAN, a respected figure in Nigeria’s legal landscape and a leading prosecutor with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has remained a consistent pillar of support throughout her academic pursuit.

His commitment to justice in the courtroom is mirrored by his devotion to family, demonstrating that the pursuit of national integrity and intellectual excellence can coexist in building a stronger, more enlightened society.
