Tinubu’s Political Structure Extends Handshake To The South-East, Appoints John Okafor As Imo State Patron
In a very strong and calculated effort to capture the South-East ahead of the 2027 presidential election, the BAT-Movement Nigeria, one of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s most formidable support group, has appointed Rt. Hon. Chike John Okafor, House of Representatives Member representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency as Imo State Patron.
BAT-Movement is one of the earliest government policy advocacy groups and major support platform that championed the actualization of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential aspiration in the 2023 election.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, Founder of the Movement and Executive Secretary, National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Otunba Biodun Ajiboye said Hon. Okafor’s appointment is a result of the frantic efforts made by the President’s political structure to ensure that it encroaches on the electoral fortune from the South-East.
He said the appointment is also in recognition of Hon. Okafor’s demonstrated commitment to the vision and ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Okafor’s political pedigree goes round his being a third time member of the House of Representatives, a respected financial expert who whose politics span through a space of 12 years. He has been a founding member of the APC and has never been a member of any other political party. When it was so tough at the time that Atiku Abubakar took over the entire APC structure in the South-East, Hon. John Okafor and one other Senator were the two APC members that survived that PDP tsunami at the time.”
“Today, he has been appointed Imo State Patron of Asiwaju’s most formidable support group, which means that he will have a lot of responsibility to take control and manage the penetration of Asiwaju’s interest in the South-East”, said Otunba.
In a similar development, the BAT Movement is making frantic efforts to appoint Chief Arthur Eze as Grand Patron of the Tinubu support group. This is one of the most formidable actions ongoing in the political circle in the South-East.
With the visibility of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodima as the most preferred governor to carry the banner of renewed hope, one can attest to the fact that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu really has some very good plan for the South-East.
