TINUBU, FIRST LADY HAIL ADEBOYE AT 84, DESCRIBE HIM AS NIGERIA’S “SPIRITUAL FORTRESS”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have congratulated Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, on his 84th birthday, describing him as one of the nation’s greatest gifts and a “spiritual fortress” interceding for Nigeria and its people before God Almighty.
In a joint statement issued on Sunday, the President and his wife extolled Adeboye’s humility as genuine and his wisdom as profound, noting that his influence stretches far beyond the pulpit.
“His contributions to our nation extend beyond where he ministers to souls,” the statement read. “They encompass philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.”
Celebrating the revered cleric, fondly called Daddy G.O., as he marks his 84th birthday on March 2, 2026, the presidential couple said they joined his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, members of the RCCG, and the entire Body of Christ in thanking God for a life of exceptional impact that transcends cultures and borders.
They commended Adeboye’s unceasing prayers for the nation and praised his patriotic zeal, manifest determination, and steadfast commitment to Nigeria’s progress.
The President and First Lady also acknowledged the unique leadership role of the renowned preacher, whose teachings over the past five decades have continued to shape and transform lives across generations in Nigeria and beyond.
“As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day,” the statement concluded, “we pray that God Almighty will continue to bless him with good health and strength as he advances his work in the Lord’s vineyard.”
