The Tinubu–Ambode Support Associates (TASA) has commended the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, for hosting a highly impactful and unifying Stakeholders Forum held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island.
The forum brought together party stalwarts, legislators, cabinet members, local government chairmen, youth mobilizers, and political heavyweights to review strategies for grassroots engagement and chart a common roadmap towards the 2027 general elections.
Declaring the event open, the Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, described the forum as a “strategic melting pot of ideas and reflections,” aimed at building stronger internal cohesion, reconnecting with the grassroots, and strengthening voter mobilization efforts ahead of 2027.
FASHOLA CALLS FOR STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT WITH EXISTING AND NEW VOTERS
The forum’s keynote speaker, former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), delivered a thought-provoking address urging the party leadership to deepen engagement with existing APC supporters while simultaneously mobilizing new voters during the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
Fashola noted that “the strength of our democracy lies not only in new registrations but in sustaining the confidence of those who have consistently voted APC across elections.” He encouraged the leadership to focus on voter education, civic enlightenment, and human development as strategic tools for political sustainability.
BASIRU REAFFIRMS TINUBU’S DEVELOPMENTAL FOOTPRINTS
The APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, in his goodwill message, charged party loyalists to intensify grassroots mobilization in all 20 local governments and 37 LCDAs of Lagos State. He emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is already reshaping Nigeria’s economic and infrastructural outlook, and Lagos, being the cradle of progressive politics, must lead by example.
Basiru added that continuity, unity, and coordinated mobilization remain key to ensuring that Lagos delivers overwhelmingly for the APC and its leadership at all levels.
AMBODE’S PRESENCE: THE SYMBOL OF UNITY AND A NEW CHAPTER IN LAGOS POLITICS
The atmosphere at the forum reached an electrifying crescendo with the entrance of former Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, whose presence became the defining moment of the gathering. Party faithfuls, leaders, and supporters erupted in applause, cheers, and chants as Ambode walked in, a symbolic return that resonated deeply across all strata of the party.
The warm embrace and mutual exchanges between Ambode and other top party leaders showcased a renewed spirit of unity, reconciliation, and progressive solidarity within the Lagos APC family.
TASA described Ambode’s re-emergence as “the rekindling of a bridge that connects the past, the present, and the future of Lagos progressivism.”
Ambode, who governed Lagos State between 2015 and 2019, remains a symbol of technocratic excellence, infrastructural transformation, and disciplined governance. His administration’s legacy in urban renewal, road expansion, and digital innovation continues to define the modern face of Lagos.
The Tinubu–Ambode Support Associates (TASA) emphasizes that Ambode’s political maturity and unwavering loyalty to the progressive family demonstrate his commitment to the collective vision of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, an agenda he once helped shape as one of Tinubu’s outstanding mentees in governance.
TASA believes Ambode’s renewed visibility and engagement will galvanize the youths, professionals, and the silent majority of Lagosians who still hold him in high regard, thereby reenergizing the APC’s grassroots structure for massive voter mobilization ahead of 2027.
LEGISLATORS AND SENATE CAUCUS REAFFIRM SUPPORT FOR PROGRESSIVE GOVERNANCE
The Leader of the Lagos House of Representatives Caucus, Hon. Enitan Dolapo Badru, briefed the forum on key legislative interventions supporting Lagos’ infrastructural development, including new roads, classroom blocks, and community projects.
Senator Tokunbo Abiru, representing the Lagos Senate Caucus, highlighted the achievements of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope policies in stabilizing the economy and expanding opportunities for MSMEs, artisans, and small businesses across the country.
HAMZAT OUTLINES SANWO-OLU’S IMPACTFUL ADMINISTRATION
The Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, presented a comprehensive review of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s six years and five months of achievements, spanning transportation, housing, technology, education, healthcare, and youth development. He reaffirmed that the administration’s performance under the THEMES+ Agenda stands as a testament to APC’s enduring commitment to people-oriented governance.
A GRAND DISPLAY OF UNITY AND PROGRESSIVE CELEBRATION
The event climaxed with an enthralling musical performance by King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), whose songs ignited nostalgia and celebration, signifying that Lagos APC remains one big family united under the spirit of progress, loyalty, and shared purpose.
Present at the occasion were GAC Chairman Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Dr. Abayomi Finnih, Chief James Odumbaku (Baba Eto), Senator Seye Ogunlewe, Senator Ganiyu Solomon, alongside present and former commissioners, lawmakers, and political leaders from across the 57 councils of Lagos State.
TASA REAFFIRMS MOBILIZATION DRIVE FOR 2027
In conclusion, TASA reaffirmed its total loyalty to the leadership of the party, commending the reconciliation spirit demonstrated at the forum, and vowing to mobilize Lagosians to deliver over four million votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC, and all progressive candidates in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
TASA believes the new chapter of cooperation and unity symbolized will open a fresh vista of strength, inclusiveness, and progress within Lagos APC.
