Speaker Obasa Celebrates First Lady Remi Tinubu At 65, Applauds ‘Renewed Hope Initiative’

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Obasa, has joined Nigerians in celebrating the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON, CON, as she marks her 65th birthday.

In a goodwill message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Dave Agboola, Obasa extolled Mrs. Tinubu as a true “Mother of the Nation” whose philanthropy, political service, and compassion continue to transform lives across Nigeria.

The Speaker recalled her impactful years as First Lady of Lagos State, when the New Era Foundation became a beacon of hope for young people, women, and the vulnerable. He also praised her record of service as a three-term Senator, and now, her leadership as Nigeria’s First Lady.

According to Obasa, Mrs. Tinubu stands as “a pivotal force, an inestimable cheerleader, and a foremost partner of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the mission to enthrone a more prosperous and progressive Nigeria through the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

He highlighted the Renewed Hope Initiative, describing it as a nationwide movement that goes beyond policy statements to deliver education, empowerment, and compassionate support. “Her work is about touching lives and bringing about real, tangible change in our society. Her commitment to the welfare of Nigerians is unparalleled,” Obasa said.

The Speaker added that the First Lady’s initiatives have blossomed into a transformative platform addressing critical issues of poverty and social inclusion, instilling fresh hope in countless homes.

“As we celebrate Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s contributions to nation-building, we look forward to the future she is helping to shape—one of progress, prosperity, and unity. History will be kind to her for her steadfast dedication, empathy, and resilience,” Obasa concluded.
