Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama‘at, Nigeria has said that sincere reliance on Allah remains the ultimate panacea to the multifaceted global challenges.

This was disclosed at the 71st Jalsa Salana (Conference) held by Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama‘at, Nigeria between Friday 19 and Sunday, 21 December, 2025 at Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The theme of the holy conference is: “And Hold Fast, All Together, By The Rope of Allah And Be Not Divided…” (Qur’an 3:104).

35,770 delegates from Nigeria, United Kingdom, and Equatorial Guinea, attended the Islamic Conference physically and others joined online via Jalsa Salana Connect TV, under the leadership of Barrister Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, Amir (Head) Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat of Nigeria.

These were contained in a communique signed by the Amir (Head) Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat of Nigeria, Barrister Alatoye Folorunso Azeez dated Sunday December 21, 2025.

During the three-day programme attended by Ahmadis and non-Ahmadis across the country and beyond, a total of six lectures were delivered by eminent scholars within the Jama’at.

While Professor Sa’eed Timehin delivered the main lecture on Saturday, December 20, 2025, titled: “Unity is Strength: Lessons from Islamic History As A Guide to Current Global Challenges to Muslim Ummah,” Professor Mashhud Adenrele Fashola spoke on the lecture titled: “Modern Day Evidence for The Existence of Allah.”

The lecturers and other participants at the 71st Jalsa Salana, 2025 expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for the successful hosting of the spiritually uplifting gathering, which strengthened faith, renewed commitment to Islam, and reinforced the Jama‘at’s devotion to the Holy Qur’an, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa), the Imam Mahdi Hazrat Ghulam Ahmad (as) and the Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya.

They recommended “reliance on Allah” as the solution to global challenges and  the Jalsa reaffirmed that “sincere reliance on Allah (Tawakkul) remains the ultimate panacea to the multifaceted global challenges confronting humanity today, including insecurity, moral decline, injustice, economic hardship, and environmental crises.”

They recommended unity as a divine command and source of strength.

Drawing from Islamic history and Qur’anic injunctions, the Jalsa emphasized that unity among Muslims is a divine command and a prerequisite for strength, progress, and peaceful coexistence, while division weakens the Ummah and undermines its moral authority.

On commitment to Peaceful Coexistence and National Development, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama‘at, Nigeria reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to peace, loyalty to Nigeria, obedience to lawful authority, and constructive engagement with people of all faiths and backgrounds for national unity and development.

This was also echoed by a former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Ambassador Sarafadeen Ishola, Senator Olamilekan Adeola,(Yayi), represented by  Alhaji Fadil Olaniyi Ajadi, a Commissioner at the Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission and a Former Grand Khadi of Kwara State, Retired Justice ,S.O.Muhammed.

On becoming the righteous role models for future generations, participants were urged to consciously nurture future generations through personal examples of piety, truthfulness, moral discipline, and regular prayers, recognizing that character-building begins at home and is vital for sustainable societal reform.

While speaking on revival of prayer and moral reformation, the Jalsa (Conference) called on all Muslims to revive the spirit of Salat, sincere supplication, and righteous conduct as essential tools for individual reform and societal transformation in an increasingly materialistic world.

Also, the sacrifices and exemplary lives of Hazrat Sir Zafrullah Khan Sahib and Hazrat Syeda Nawab Mubaarakah Begum (ra) were highlighted as timeless models of selflessness, steadfast faith, service to humanity, and devotion to the cause of Islam.

Members were reminded that sacrifices of time, wealth, abilities, and comfort in the way of Allah are essential for spiritual growth, community progress, and the establishment of justice, compassion, and truth in society.

The Jalsa underscored that contemporary scientific discoveries, fulfilled prophecies, personal spiritual experiences, and the order of the universe continue to provide compelling evidence of the existence, power, and mercy of Almighty Allah.

They concluded by calling on all Muslims, particularly members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama‘at, to firmly hold fast together to the rope of Allah through obedience to His commandments, loyalty to Khilafat, mutual love, and rejection of all forms of extremism, hatred, and division.

Guests at the event included the Olu of Ilaro, paramount ruler of Yewaland and Chairman, Ogun State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM, Oba (Dr) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola, the Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states, and Reverend Adedigba, representing Ogun State Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Chairman, Bishop Adekunle.

Osun State.

Also there were Alhaji Fadil Olaniyi Ajadi, Commissioner, Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission, representing Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, Sir Malik Muzaffar Ahmed, Managing Director, Raqeem Press International, London, United Kingdom, retired Justice (Grand Khadi of Kwara State) Alhaji S.O.
