Friends, family members and rotarian colleagues of Rotarian Obabori Adebola will never forget in a hurry Sunday September 14, 2025, when she was installed as the 12th President of the Rotary Club of Ring Road, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The high octane event, which took place at the Club House of Rotary Club of Ibadan, Iyaganku GRA, Ibadan had in attendance royal fathers and political big wigs who travelled from far and near to witness the occasion.
Guest Speaker at the event, Raji Fatai Adebamiji, who spoke on the topic “Kindness Begets Kindness: A Foundational Principle of Humanitarian Leadership,” called on Nigerian leaders to inculcate the doctrine of Four Way Test of Rotary International.
According to him, the Four Way Test asks basic questions, which he said will move the country forward if it can be answered positively by the nation’s leaders.
“Is it the truth, Is it fair to all concerned,  will it build better friendship and will it be beneficial to all concerned?
“These are four basic questions, which can move Nigeria forward if answered positively,” he said.
Speaking before the installation, the immediate past President of the club, Rotarian Abolade Ipadeola, enumerated the achievements of her one year tenure and thanked her immediate family members, past presidents of the club as well as other executive members of the club for their support, which she said led to the numerous achievements.
“We had so many challenges, but I thank the members of my immediate family, our past presidents and all the members of the club because without them, we will not be talking of our achievements,” she said.
She however, urged the newly installed President to build on the structures laid down by the past presidents so as to move the club to a greater level.
In her inaugural speech, the new President of the club, Rotarian Obabori Adebola Tolulope, called for the cooperation of all the members and the past presidents of the club, adding that she will work with other officers of the club to move it higher than she met it.
“I want to assure everyone present here today that I will not do it alone, but with the cooperation of all our members and our leaders, we will definitely succeed,” she said.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman of the Planning Committee of the event, Rotarian Tunji Afolayan, thanked all the invited guests and called on Nigerian leaders to always fulfill their promises to the electorates using the Four Way Test of the Rotary International (RI) as an example.
