A former Commissioner for Special Duties, Culture and Tourism in Ondo State, Honourable Femi Adekanmbi has pleaded with Nigerians to support the economic reforms and agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a message personally signed by him, he assured the citizenry that the President meant well for the nation.

“The Economic hardship the citizens are facing at the moment will soon be a thing of the past as government at all levels are working hard to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal”

All the three tiers of government are working assiduously to nip it in the bud”, he said

He added that at the last federation account allocation committee
(FACC) meeting, the amount shared was more than the sum of N701.78 billion received in the previous month by N451.13 billion.

“It is a positive sign that with all hands on deck, the hardship experienced by Nigerians over subsidy pain will turn to gain.

“The Governors forum have made a solemn pledge to work with the government of Tinubu to reduce hardship caused by the removal of oil subsidy on the populace”

“The synegy among all the three tiers of government is encouraging, and the promise by the Governor’s Forum to tackle the issue headlong in order to improve the standard of living for average Nigerians is reassuring.

Adekanmbi equally appreciates Nigerians for their immense support for the government of President Tinubu, saying their support has led to the stability and progress of the nation in the last two months since the fuel subsidy was removed.

He urged state governments to increase the numbers of mass transit buses in their states, and at a subsidized rates to commuters such that the most vulnerable can afford it.

The APC Chieftain admonished the Federal government to quickly fine tune their own Palliative measures so that it would get to those who actually need it, especially the vulnerables in our society.

He appreciated the President for signing into law the Student loan scheme act. He must ensure that competent personnel and professionals are appointed to manage the loan, and remove unneccessary bottlenecks that has always been the bane of laudable programme by government .
