Pressure Mounts On Vp Sambo To Dump Kaduna Governor For 2015

The political heat in Kaduna State is gradually becoming unbearable for the handsome governor of the state, Muktar Ramalan Yero as the political class in the state is sharply divided down the line on whether to back him or not. Governor Yero was the major beneficiary, when Patrick Yakowa, the Christian governor of the state, died in a plane crash, this sad incident pushed Yero to the limelight as he was Yakowa’s deputy then.

One curious belief however by the kith and kin of the late Patrick Yakoya in southern Kaduna, which is heavily populated by Christians, is the claim that Yakowa did not die naturally and are now agitating through the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) that the president should prevail on the Vice-President, who is known to be Yero’s godfather, to drop him or else they’ll be forced to look elsewhere to present their own candidate in 2015.Not only that, our source revealed that there is a grand plan to put enormous pressure on the President to drop Sambo as his running mate if he won’t back down on his support for Governor Yero.

Our investigations revealed that the man that is being positioned to take over from Yero is Andrew Yakubu, the Group Managing Director of NNPC.We gathered that when the pressure became much for President Jonathan and judging by the caliber of people in this group, Jonathan reportedly offered Yero the seat of the CBN Governor. When this became public, the governor reportedly caused his aides to issue a release denying his interest in the CBN job. While the Southern Kaduna people are rallying behind their own to take over the seat of governance in the state in 2015, and boasting of solid support from people like the President of CAN Pastor Ayo Orisetjafor and the First Lady, Patience Jonathan to achieve their aim, the Vice President, Namadi Sambo is said to be in a quandary now as he is stucked with Governor Yero.
