 President Tinubu Hails NRS Chairman Zacch Adedeji On Birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji, on the occasion of his birthday, commending his leadership and outstanding contributions to national revenue administration.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the President praised Dr. Adedeji for his sterling stewardship of the 83-year-old revenue agency, noting that his tenure has been marked by the introduction of fresh ideas, the adoption of global best practices, extensive automation of systems, and strategic upskilling of staff to enhance efficiency and national productivity.
President Tinubu described the NRS Chairman as a visionary and charismatic leader whose dedication has helped restructure, align, and effectively manage Nigeria’s revenue profile.
According to the President, Dr. Adedeji recorded a historic milestone by meeting national budget revenue targets by the third quarter of 2025, a feat that has contributed significantly to economic stimulation and growth.
He also lauded Adedeji’s instrumental role in the adoption of the National Single Window, a transformative federal digital platform designed to streamline import and export processes, enhance transparency, and reduce cargo clearance time from 21 days to just one week.
Dr. Adedeji brings a wealth of experience from both the private and public sectors. He previously served as a senior member of Procter & Gamble’s management team, Commissioner of Finance in Oyo State, and Executive Secretary of the National Sugar Development Council, where he established the National Sugar Institute.
Before his appointment as Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service in September 2023, he also served as Special Adviser to the President on Revenue.
President Tinubu prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Dr. Adedeji, asking for good health, wisdom, and strength as he continues to serve the nation.
