The Christian community in Nigeria has been thrown into mourning following the passing of renowned gospel minister and evangelist, Toun Soetan.

Details surrounding her death were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, but sources close to the family confirmed that the respected evangelist passed on earlier today.

Evangelist Soetan was widely known for her passionate preaching, strong evangelical outreach, and dedication to Christian ministry. Over the years, she built a reputation as a committed servant of God whose teachings and revival meetings impacted many lives across different parts of the country.

Her ministry, which focused largely on spiritual revival, prayer, and evangelism, drew followers from various Christian denominations.

Many believers regarded her as a voice of spiritual awakening who devoted decades to spreading the Christian faith.

News of her passing has begun to generate reactions among church leaders, followers, and members of the Christian community, many of whom described her as a devoted evangelist and mentor whose ministry touched countless lives.

The late Evangelist Toun Soetan was one of the few scandal free gospel music crooners during her lifetime.

Former secretary of the Oyo State chapter of Entertainment Writers Association Of Nigeria (EWAN) Alhaji Kunle Bakare, in a statement, described the late gospel musician as a true God-sent because of her carefully selected gospel music lyrics.

“The late gospel music player will also be remembered for her music college where she trained so many gospel music players most of whom were reigning today,” Bakare said.

Family members and ministry associates are yet to release an official statement detailing the circumstances of her death or announcing funeral arrangements.
