Senior Pastor and Founder of House on the Rock Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has reported to the Lagos State Police Command following the circulation of a viral video showing him holding an object that resembles a firearm during a roadside altercation.

The Lagos Police Command, in a statement released on Tuesday, confirmed that Adefarasin voluntarily appeared at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja and is currently being interrogated by detectives.

“Pastor Paul Adefarasin has turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja and is currently being interrogated by detectives who have commenced investigation on the case since a video surfaced online showing the pastor holding a gun-like object against another road user, while driving in an unregistered vehicle,” the statement read.

The video, which surfaced on social media recently, has attracted significant public attention. Though undated, the footage shows a man believed to be Pastor Adefarasin driving an unregistered SUV and engaging in a heated exchange with another motorist. During the incident, the man appears to brandish a handgun-like object, allegedly aimed at the other driver.

The police have not yet confirmed whether the object seen in the video was a real firearm or a replica, nor have they disclosed whether it was licensed.

The Command has assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway and that the findings will be made public.

As of the time of this report, neither Pastor Adefarasin nor the House on the Rock Church has issued an official statement addressing the incident.
