Oyo NNPP Elects New Executive, Says Party Well Positioned To Succeed In 2027 Poll
The Oyo State Chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP) has elected its new executive council, this is as the party declared that it is well positioned to succeed in the 2027 General Election.
The newly elected State Executive include the State Chairman, Hon. Makinde Anthony Sunday; Deputy Chairman, Chief Bandele Akeem Oyekunle; State Secretary, Mr Olalekan Ojo Abiodun; State Publicity Secretary, and Mr Olapade Olusoji Timothy.
Others are State Financial Secretary, Hon. Adewale Orosiji, Organising Secretary, Elder Atanda Olayiwola Lawrence; Legal Adviser, Barrister Aware Bolanle Ajoke; Treasurer, Comrade Opeyemi Ibrahim; the Women Leader, Mrs Dasola Adebayo and Youth Leader, Mr Oyewole Taiwo.
Speaking after his election, the State Chairman of the party, Hon. Makinde Anthony Sunday said that the new executive under his watch is well prepared to reposition the party, saying in the coming general election, NNPP will make significant inroad into governance in Oyo State.
Hon. Makinde said that with the calibre of experience politicians in the state executive, the party will do its homework and positioned the party for victory in the forthcoming election.
He thanked the entire party members for their maturity, which resulted in the peaceful election of the state executive urging those who have political ambition to contest for one position or the other in Oyo State to come to the NNPP, saying the door of the party is widely open.
He promised that the state executive will provide a level playing ground for all aspirants.
“Let me tell the people of Oyo State that the NNPP is ready to bring succour to them. We are not going to increase your hardship like the People’s Democratic Party.(PDP) led government is currently doing. Your welfare will be our top priority.
“To those who have political ambition, kindly move into our party and realise your ambition. Our door is widely opened, he said.
