Oyo 2027: PDP Will Be On The Ballot, Will Secure Victory In Elections – PDP Guber Aspirant, Ajadi Declares
A leading Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has assured all the party supporters to remain steadfast, saying that despite the cloud of crisis, the PDP will be on the ballot in the 2027 general elections.
Ajadi who gave this assurance at a Ramadan Lecture he organized for the Muslims in Oyo state held at the Broadcasting Cooperation of Oyo state (BCOS) playing ground, Ibadan on Friday, said that by the grace of God, the PDP aside being on the ballot paper, will record landslide victory in Oyo State in 2027.
Speaking on the Ramadan Lecture titled; “Good Politics,” Ajadi said that the reason for picking the topic is to enlighten politicians and those who are planning to join politics that politics should not be a rough venture as some people perceive it.
“The topic is as a result of how some politicians are behaving and practicing politics. We believe it is very important to preach good politics as we are approaching the next general elections.
“We want our politicians to know that politics must be peaceful and that our politicians should practice good politics. That is why we invited our father, Sanni Sheu, to speak on the topic”Good Politics,” he said.
Ajadi said that he is so excited about this year’s Ramadan Lecture in Ibadan because, according to him, this is the first in the city of his birth.
“I am so excited about this year’s Ramadan Lecture, which brings several Muslims together. We have been having Ramadan Lectures for a long time in Ogun State but this year, we have it in Ibadan to familiarize with the Muslim Family. I am happy to be in their midst,” Ajadi said.
The Guest Lecturer, Fadheelafus – Shaykh – Al Mufasir Usman Sanni Sheu, who is the Chief Tafseer of Ilorin Emirate, Al Adaby, while speaking on the topic, “Good Politics,” called on politicians to shun thuggery, urging them to play good politics.
He praised the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for being a peaceful leader who he said respects the Alfas and the people he is governing.
Alfa Sheu called on Ajadi to follow the good footsteps of Governor Makinde.
He said he has known Ajadi as a peaceful person, but urged him to maintain his peaceful nature and be a good successor to Governor Makinde.
He warned politicians against bad politics, saying they should shun hooliganism.
Among the artistes that entertained the attendees which include PDP leaders in Oyo State are Alhaji Saoty Arewa, Alhaja Kiyafat Singer and Rodiat Arike Omo Sheu.
The event was anchored by prominent Masters of Ceremony, Baba Labule and MC Kirikiri.
