Ooni didn’t have any relationship with new wife before they tied the nuptial nuts.

Sisters of the Ooni of Ife have revealed that the Ooni, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi did not have a relationship with his new wife, Wuraola Otiti Zynab Obanor, before they tied the nuptial nuts.

According to the princesses: Adebimpe, Adesola and Adebimpe, it was the Oracle that revealed the new Olori (wife) to be the queen.

It would be recalled that the Ooni, custodian of Yoruba traditional stool, got married to his new bride, Princess Wuraola in Benin, Edo state on March 12.

In a recent chat with City People, the Princesses when asked if Kabiyesi met his new wife a long time ago but decided not to introduce her to the family as at then, they said, “No, Kabiyesi didn’t meet her a long time ago; they never met before.

“It was the oracle who revealed her to Kabiyesi.

“The oracle is still alive and they are doing wonders.

“You know a lot of things have been happening since they introduced the new Olori to the world.

“Lots of people were saying evil things about her. Majority of what they said are not correct.

“They were just running her down. But to the glory of God we still married her.”

Describing the new wife, the princesses said, “Oh, that woman, she is amazing, very friendly and she is a female version of Kabiyesi.”
