Olorogun Oscar Ibru, billionaire businessman and chairman of the Ibru Organisation, has passed away at the age of 67. His family confirmed the news on Tuesday, stating that he died after a brief illness, though no further details were disclosed.

As the first son of the late Olorogun Michael Ibru, Oscar was a central figure in sustaining and expanding the vast Ibru empire—one of Nigeria’s most recognisable corporate dynasties. He steered the conglomerate’s diverse interests in shipping, oil and gas, real estate, and commerce, ensuring the family’s legacy remained firmly entrenched in the nation’s economic landscape.
