Nominations And Public Voting Open For The Great African Heroes & Mentors Awards 2026
The organizers of the Great African Heroes & Mentors Awards (GAHMA) have officially announced the opening of nominations and public voting for the 2026 Great African Heroes & Mentors Awards, a prestigious continental recognition platform celebrating visionary African leaders, innovators, and mentors whose contributions have significantly impacted Africa’s development.
The 2026 edition, scheduled to hold on August 25th, 2026 at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, marks a special commemorative edition celebrating Africa’s visionary leaders and mentors from 2000 to 2025.
The Awards will recognize distinguished individuals, institutions, and organizations whose leadership, mentorship, and innovation have contributed significantly to Africa’s transformation across sectors including business, governance, education, media, youth development, technology, and social impact.
Through this platform, the Great African Heroes & Mentors Awards seeks to celebrate excellence, promote mentorship, and inspire the next generation of African leaders across the continent.
With nominations now open, members of the public, professional bodies, institutions, and organizations are invited to submit nominations for deserving African leaders and mentors who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to national and continental development.
The Awards will also feature a public voting process, allowing Africans across the continent and diaspora to participate in recognizing outstanding individuals who have made remarkable contributions to society.
The Award Dinner & Gala Night will bring together distinguished leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, diplomats, innovators, and cultural icons in a historic gathering celebrating African excellence and leadership legacy.
