Dr Dotun Aliu

Through regulatory experts among diaspora pool, these stabilizers can be achieved by the establishment of a strong and resilient professional regulatory body that will create the structure adopted to Nigeria needs. This is the magic behind the growth in most developed nation.

Without a doubt, as the country deals with growing insecurity, a deteriorating economy, and terrorism threats, now is the crucial time to strengthen ties with the Diaspora. NADA also promised to partner with the government to promote and market made-in- Nigeria products and services globally.

As an illustration, a U.S. investor could finance cashew nut production, resulting in 500 permanent jobs at a processing facility and income for 11,000 farmers.

Promoting made -in-Nigerian goods and services globally, particularly on market platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, and Walmart.

The government can collaborate with the diaspora to establish a Nigerian version of an internet marketplace (similar to Alibaba) where Nigerian goods can be sold globally. This will be a game changer in Nigeria economy sector.

NADA also belief that the digitization of government sector across the nation will propel the nation to a new level of prosperity. To build a dependable, potent, and cutting-edge digital system in all governmental sectors, NADA will mobilize diaspora resources. Fully automated administrative tasks to remove bureaucratic bottlenecks, encourage government business-friendly policies, boost IGR, and restore public trust.

As a result, the cost of governance will be lower, plug revenue leakage, with an unprecedented increase in revenue generation.

Partnering with the government, NADA will mobilize diaspora investors to support native startups in the Nigeria tech industry.

The diaspora will help Nigerian youths secure high-paying IT contract that can be done remotely. Case example is India high tech initiatives.

Electricity – NADA is also encouraging the administration of president-elect to launch “Power Nigeria” initiatives that will empower each local government across the country to generate and distribute minimum of 20 megawatt in a mini grid network looped to national grid. This will serve as immediate solution to power problem across the country and guarantees rural electrification needed to boost agro businesses. This can be achieved through partnership with diaspora investors and resources.

Healthcare

The largest overhaul of the Nigerian healthcare system can be established through the mobilization of diaspora professionals to develop and implement healthcare system driven by digital technology. It will be designed to deliver cutting edge universal health care system that is accessible, affordable, equitable and efficient in nature to all Nigerians regardless of status.

According to NADA it will be a sweeping, first-in-the- nation, and most extensive overhaul of Nigeria’s health care system.

The goal of NADA is to help 80 million Nigerians escape poverty. These progressive initiatives were already included in the Tinubu/Shetima action plan thanks to NADA. NADA is very confident that with the impeding Tinubus’ administration, a new Nigeria is about to be born.

No doubt NADA will be bringing the power of diaspora to bear in the incoming administration.
