Mama Oyelade Celebrated By Children As She Clocks 80

Those who attended the 80th birthday celebration of Mrs. Elizabeth Olufunke Oyelade nee Odejimi, will not forget it in a hurry as the event paraded the who-is-who in the society.
The lavish birthday party, which was put together by the children of Mrs. Olufunke, was attended by extended family members of Oyelade and Odejimi at Tafo Arena, where food was lavishly served to the satisfaction of the guests.
Mama Olufunke was born on October 10 1943 in Ilashe, Ogun State to the Odejimi family.
She worked at Lafia Canning Factory in Apata, Ibadan,  Oyo State. Her primary vocation is sewing, which she practiced for sometime before venturing into provision sales at the popular Dugbe Market In Ibadan.
She met her husband in 1962 and they got married same year, while the union is blessed with glorious children among whom is Apostle Paul Idowu Oyelade, who spiced up the occasion with the 1989 set of Saint Patricks Grammar School, Ibadan.
While speaking at the event, Apostle Paul Oyelade described her mother as someone who has brightened his darkest day.
According to him ” You always know what to say to brighten even my darkest days. Thank you for being a shoulder I can always lean on no matter what. Happy birthday to the woman who sacrificed so much for me.”
