Late Olubadan, Akinloye Olakulehin Laid To Rest

The late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, has been committed to mother earth.
Olubadan Olakulehin was buried on Friday at St Peter’s Cathedral, Aremo, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The church where the traditional ruler was buried is his family church.
A burial service was organised in honour of the traditional ruler prior to the final burial.
The event was attended by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal, General Officer Commanding 2 Division of the Nigeria Army, Major General O G Onubogu and the National Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja.
It was also attended by family members among whom were Prince Sumbo Owolabi Olakulehin.
Shortly after the funeral service, the body of the traditional ruler was moved to the graveyard within the church for internment.
Recall that the late traditional ruler was coronated on Friday, July 12, 2024, but he joined his ancestors on Monday, July 7, 2025.
