LASU Alumni Hail Disu’s Appointment As Acting IGP, Express Confidence In Police Reforms

The Lagos State University (LASU) Alumni Association has congratulated Mr. Tunji Rilwan Disu on his appointment as Acting Inspector-General of Police, describing his elevation as a proud moment for the university and a significant step for national security leadership.
In a statement issued by its National President, Mr. Norrison Quakers, SAN, the association commended Disu’s dedication, professionalism, and exemplary leadership in public service, noting that his track record reflects competence and integrity.
Quakers emphasized that Disu’s robust academic background at Lagos State University where he studied English Education, Public Administration, Criminology, Security Studies, and Legal Psychology has equipped him with the intellectual depth and multidisciplinary expertise required to lead the Nigeria Police Force at this critical time.
“As you lead the Nigeria Police Force, we are confident that your expertise will drive meaningful reforms, boost public trust, and enhance service delivery across the country,” the statement read.
The alumni body described Disu’s appointment as a testament to the quality of leadership nurtured at LASU and the growing influence of its graduates in shaping national institutions and advancing Nigeria’s progress.
