LAMATA Begins Stakeholder Engagement Meetings On Purple Line Project

The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority has begun stakeholder engagement meetings as a precursor to scoping activities for the proposed Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Purple Line project.
Purple Line 57km rail line stretching from Redemption Camp in Ogun State to Volkswagen area along the Lagos Badagry Expressway, will feature 17 stations. It is designed to integrate with the Red Line at Agege, the Blue Line at Volkswagen, and the Yellow Line at Isheri-Osun, creating a comprehensive and interconnected public transportation network.
A team from LAMATA visited Ikeja and Agege Local Government Areas as well as Ojodu Local Council Development Authority to initiate discussions with local stakeholders today.
The Purple Line will cross cross two local governments in Ogun and five local governments and four other Local Development Areas.
