Lagos Assembly Commiserates With Oshodi/Isolo Over Demise Of Party Leader, Others …Urges Members To Prioritise Health

The Lagos State House of Assembly has expressed sadness over the demise of one of the party leaders from Oshodi/Isolo, Chief Samuel Aina, a former Local Government Chairman who served the council from 1999 to 2003.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Security and Strategy, Hon. Stephen Ogundipe from Oshodi/Isolo Constituency 1, noted the major achievements of the late Aina, while serving, which he said included the construction of the current edifice, housing the local government secretariat.
Hon. Ajomale Oladipo who represents Oshodi/Isolo Constituency II, in his eulogy, said that the former chairman was a leader worthy of emulation and a man of impeccable character.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Obasa noted that Chief Aina was a father figure whose legacy remains unmatched.
He thereafter directed the Clerk of the House, Barr. Olalekan Onafeko to write a condolences letter to the family of the deceased.
However, following the recent death occurrences among newly elected councilors in the state, Speaker Obasa urged political office holders to prioritize their health above any political pursuit.
