The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed sympathy to the management of Fresh FM Nigeria and its founder, Evangelist (Dr) Yinka Ayefele, following the fire incident that gutted the station’s headquarters, Music House, in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s spokesman, Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, the Lagos APC described the incident as a painful setback, not only to the Fresh FM family but also to the cultural and artistic community represented by Ayefele.

The party noted that Ayefele, a broadcaster, philanthropist, and music icon, had made immense contributions to national development through music and broadcasting, using his platforms to uplift, inform and inspire millions across Nigeria and beyond.

“The tragic incident is a painful setback, but we commend the courage and resilience already shown in the face of adversity,” the statement read.

The APC also urged relevant authorities to investigate the cause of the fire and provide necessary support to enable Fresh FM to restore operations swiftly.

While pledging solidarity, the party expressed confidence that Ayefele and his team would overcome the setback and emerge stronger.
