Kogi State Government Names Advisory – Intervention Committee On Tourism.

The administration of Kogi State under the leadership of H.E Governor Yahaya Bello has appointed a 9 man high powered committee to fastrack the numerous Tourism potentials of Kogi State.

Kogi State boasts of many historic, cultural and tourism potentials :A Confluence of Rivers Niger and Benue,
A European Cementry (1896AD),Location of where the Union Jack flag was hoisted, Lord Lugard Rest House, Mount Patti to mention a few.

According to a release from Dr (Mrs) Folashade Arike Ayoade the Secretary to the State Government the Team is chaired by Otunba Segun Runsewe current DG National Council For Arts and Culture,while the members include the world renowned Chief (Mrs ) Nike Okundaye of Nike Gallery, Otunba Wale Akinboboye CEO of La Campaigne Tropicana Resort, Badagry.

Also,Dr Ronke Bello,Chief Joseph Makoju,Mr Kehinde Quadri Adu of the AU and Mallam Yesufu Abubakar.

Kogi State Commisioner of Culture and Tourism Salifu Idachaba is Alternate Chair while Femi Bolaji serves as Secretary.
