Kelechi Nwogu Commends Smooth Conduct Of Rivers LGA Election: Congratulates The Elected Chairmen Of Etche/Omuma LGAs

Hon. Kelechi Nwogu, the distinguished member representing Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has commended the smooth running of the local government elections in Rivers State. He praised the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) for ensuring a transparent and credible process and lauded the entire people of Rivers State for coming out en masse to exercise their civic responsibility by voting for candidates of their choices.
He also extended a heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Chima Njoku, Chairman-elect of Etche Local Government Area, and Hon. Uchechukwu Obasi, Chairman-elect of Omuma Local Government Area, on their well-deserved victories at the polls.
In his message, Hon. Nwogu described their emergence as a testament to the trust and confidence reposed in them by the people. He commended the electorates of Etche and Omuma for participating actively in the democratic process and for choosing leaders who reflect the aspirations of the grassroots.
He urged both chairmen-elect to adopt a vision-driven approach to leadership, noting that effective governance begins with a clear plan that addresses pressing needs while also laying the foundation for sustainable development. According to him, the people are yearning for leaders who will think ahead and implement policies that will transform communities, uplift lives, and FastTrack grassroot development.
Hon. Nwogu also emphasized the importance of grassroots orientation in governance. He called on Hon. Njoku and Hon. Obasi to remain close to the people by listening to their concerns, prioritizing inclusive projects, and ensuring that no community is left behind in the development process of their respective LGAs.
Finally, he encouraged the chairmen-elect to rise to the challenge by providing solutions where the people need them the most. He expressed confidence that with dedication, transparency, and a people-first spirit, Etche and Omuma will experience meaningful progress under their leadership.
