JUST IN: Ambode Denies ADC Links, Backs Tinubu For Re-Election In 2027

Former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has firmly denied speculations linking him to a governorship bid under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the claims as “false publications” aimed at creating distractions.
In a strongly worded statement on Friday, Ambode reaffirmed his “absolute and unshakable loyalty” to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he hailed as his “leader, mentor, and a tireless champion for Nigeria’s progress.”
The former governor praised Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a “proven achiever” whose administration has driven reforms in pensions, student loan access, youth empowerment, and economic growth. He also highlighted the elimination of fuel scarcity, enhanced security measures, and people-focused policies as hallmarks of the current government.
“His focus, determination, and inclusive governance style are restoring hope and delivering tangible results,” Ambode said, expressing confidence that another four years under Tinubu would bring even greater progress for Nigerians.
Calling on party members and citizens to shun political distractions, Ambode declared:
“Let it be clear: I stand solidly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress. We will work together to ensure victory in 2027 and continue delivering the dividends of democracy to all Nigerians.”
