Jandor Commends Oto-Awori LCDA Chairman, Azeez Abiodun, Over Performances As He Marks 100 Days in Office

A Governorship Aspirant in the ruling All Progressives Congress ((APC) in Lagos State, Dr Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran aka Jandor has commended the Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun as he marks his 100 Days in office on Wednesday November 19, 2025 with the inauguration of a legislative building and presentation of cars to security personnel in the council.
Jandor, while presenting a cheque of N5million cash to G12 Women donated by Hon Azeez Abiodun as support for Women Development Fund Co-operative, said that he was proud of the Chairman for what he has achieved within 100 days.
“I was with the Chairman yesterday and I told him he is doing well. We should thank President Bola Tinubu for increasing the money that is being giving to the local governments in the country and we should thank Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the state for giving all the allocation of the local governments to them.
“Governor Sanwo-Olu is not removing anything from the local governments fund from the Federal Government that is why you can see developments in the councils across the state,” he said.
He however, expressed appreciation to God that the Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA is among the local governments that are performing in the state.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the APC in Lagos State, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, appreciated God because of the unity in the party, saying that the party is celebrating what God has done for them since 1999, whole others are fighting.
“I appreciate everyone for coming to be part of the success story of the council. I thank the leaders of our party for giving us all the support. I thank the people of Oto-Awori LCDA for believing in our party, and for believing in the philosophy of our party that we talk and do.
“We presented Hon. Azeez Abiodun to you and you believed in us and you voted for him. We are celebrating what we have been able to do in the last 100 days.
“We thank our mothers, the men and the youths for supporting our party. I congratulate the Chairman for starting well, this is just 100 days, he has a journey of four years. We believe that he will consolidate on this and be impactful as a leader.
“We are proud of him, he started well and I pray that God will give him the ability to do more. I want to thank the management for supporting him, and I want to say that this is just the beginning.
“I want you all to be proactive and let us engage our youths by giving them jobs. We have enough land in Oto-Awori for farming.
“To our beneficiaries, the Chairman has done his own. What the local governments are getting today, they were not getting it before now.
“That was why Hon. Azeez Abiodun was able to complete the Legislative Building within 100 days. Let us also use our votes to ensure that President Bola Tinubu continues beyond 2027,” he said.
Hon. Ojelabi then urged the people to go and get their PVCs if they don’t have yet.
The party chairman stated that majority of the youths don’t have PVCs, and advised them to use their PVCs to banish poverty, to attract infrastructure development and quality education.
He urged them to use the money they were given by the council judiciously, especially the N5m given to the G12, which he said is for loans.
He said; “Whoever wants to get loan from the money must have some money with the cooperative society. It’s not free money. I appreciate the council chairman for this. This is the first council that will be doing that.
“I want to support the LCDA with N5million for the money to be N10million. APC is determined to make life better for the people of Nigeria. I want to charge the councillors to make good use of the new office building,” he said.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Kareem Azeez Abiodun said that upon assumption of office, he felt challenged with the enormous challenges of infrastructural decay in the primary schools in the area, in the primary healthcare centers, roads, culverts, drainages and others.
Hon. Abiodun stated that with limited resources at the council’s disposal, the task of surmounting the challenges have become herculean.
“Today, I am happy to inform you that with God on our side, history is made. As we celebrate historic building that will stand test of time. I will commission an ultra-modern two-storey legislative building, present patrol vehicles to security personnel, and N250,000 each as business support to 100 beneficiaries. We are supporting the women development initiative with N5million,” he said.
Also speaking, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly from Ojo Constituency 2, Hon. Olanrewaju Ogunyemi said that Hon. Abiodun has started well and that he will continue to do well.
Ogunyemi noted that governance is a challenge and daunting task, adding that it is one thing to want to serve and that it is another thing to do what the person ought to do.
“What we look up to in the local government as lawmakers is how the legislators are faring and I want to acknowledge you for building a legislative building.
“I wish you well and pray that God will work with you so that you will continue to do well for the people,” he said.
In his comments, the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development in the state, Hon. Bolaji Kayode Robert, thanked God for what Hon. Abiodun has done.
The Commissioner stated that Hon. Abiodun has done well, adding that he has started well with what he has done within 100 days.
“When vision comes in contact with action, the results will be good. I want to appeal to our people to support him in the area of sanitation and others.
“I also want to appeal to the management to use the vehicles well so that the chairman would be encouraged. I thank him for not disappointing our party as council chairman,” he said.
Also speaking, the lawmaker representing Ojo Constituency 2 in the state house of assembly, Hon. Suraju Tijani aka Emir, congratulated the Chairman for his 100 days in office and for what he has done for the people of the local government.
Hon Tijani however, said that he was the happiest man at the event because he was the Chairman of the campaign committee of the chairman then, saying that he has been vindicated by the performance of the Chairman.
“I commend Hon. Lanre Ogunyemi and Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi for the way we supported Hon Azeez Abiodun to be the candidate of the party in the election during stakeholders meeting.
“Hon. Abiodun has legislative and executive experiences, same goes for the vice chairman of the LCDA. This is just the beginning, in the next one year, Oto-Awori LCDA would be transformed,” he said.
The event was attended by party members, staff of the council, residents of the area as well as the youths.
Presentation of N250,000 each to 10 people.
