How Families, Friends, Politicians Celebrated The Exit Of Former Ido LG Boss, Isiaka Adeola

Those who attended the 8th day Fidau prayer of former Majority and Minority leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly and two-term Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Isiaka Adesina Adeola were full of accolades for a man that they said lived a life worthy of emulation.
The field of St. Andrews School in Omi Adio was filled to capacity by guests and family members.
In his sermon, the Chief Imam of Omi Adio and its environs, Alhaji Abdul Lateef Abiola, described the late Isiaka Adeola as a great giver and a lover of peace, who did everything within his reach to satisfy his followers, adding that he believed so much in prayers.
Imam Abiola disclosed that during one of his visits to Hon. Isiaka Adeola, while he was sick, he offered him money, which he said he declined, but that the deceased insisted that he must collect the money.
The Imam however, urged the people at the event to be closer to their creator because no one knows when death that is inevitable will come.
“During one of my visits to Hon. Isiaka Adeola, he offered me money, although I declined, he insisted that I should collect the money,” he said.
In her speech, his widow, Yeye Fatimah Adeola, said that he was a complete family man, who ensured that all his children became successful in life.
She also described him as a committed grassroots mobiliser, who used all the positions he held for the progress of the people.
“My husband was not a selfish politician, which was why even out of office, his followers did not leave him because they knew they would always be happy around him,” she said.
Also speaking, a former Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government and the current Special Adviser on Energy to Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Abiodun Adedoja Ekolo, described the late Adeola as a team player, adding that his approach to life will never be forgotten in a hurry.
He stated that Hon. Adeola was a loyal and committed PDP member and that there is nothing he could not do to satisfy others, most especially the people of his constituencies and anyone that came his way.
Dr. Ayo Monsurat Alaga, the Ajia Iyalode of Ibadanland, in her remarks, stated that Hon. Adeola was highly accommodating and that he was a complete family man.
Dr. Ayo Alaga however, said that his legacies are still feasible in Ido Local Government.
“His legacies are all over the council. He was very accommodating, but death is inevitable and we pray that Allah will grant him Aljanah Fridaus,” she stated.
Alhaji (Hon.) Isiaka Adesina Ayinde Adeola was born on January 10, 1960 and he began his elementary education at Ahmadiyyah Primary School, Morakinyo, Ido Local Government and proceeded to Christian Secondary School, Omi Adio. He later went to the University of Ibadan for his first degree.
Prior to venturing into politics, Hon. Isiaka Adeola was a registered surveyor and he practised his job with the fear of God.
Due to his philanthropic gesture, Hon. Adeola was conferred with many chieftaincy titles; both in the Islamic and traditional religions.
The deceased is survived by wives, children, extended family and many political followers and associates.
Adding much glamour to the event were members of the Ibadan Vanguard Sisters Club of Yeye Fatimah Adeola, who distributed food stuffs and home appliances to the guests at the event.
Dignitaries at the event included a former House of Reps member, Hon. Yemi Taiwo, a former speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Moruf Atilola and the incumbent Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo amongst other notable personalities.
