Excitement is building across Nigeria and beyond as Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) prepares to host the 8th edition of its renowned GTCO Food and Drink Festival. Set to run from Friday, May 2nd to Sunday, May 4th, 2025, at the GTCentre, Plot 1 Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, the event promises a rich showcase of food, culture, and entrepreneurship.

With the theme “A Shared Experience,” this year’s festival underscores the power of food to tell stories—of culture, identity, and community—while bridging generations and geographical divides. The 2025 edition will feature 204 free retail stalls, each spotlighting the diversity of African and global cuisine. From traditional Nigerian favorites to modern fusion dishes, attendees can expect a gastronomic journey packed with flavor and innovation.

Highlighting the educational side of the festival, a series of masterclasses will be led by world-renowned chefs and culinary experts. These sessions will cover a wide range of cuisines and techniques, offering participants practical tips and inspiration for their own culinary pursuits.

Beyond the culinary attractions, the festival grounds will include a vibrant street food arena filled with beloved local snacks, as well as a dedicated children’s play area to ensure fun for the whole family.

Speaking on the festival’s impact, Mr. Segun Agbaje, Group Chief Executive Officer of GTCO Plc, said: “The GTCO Food and Drink Festival is a celebration of our rich cultural diversity and entrepreneurial spirit. Every meal shared is a reminder of our traditions and the universal language of food that connects us all. Beyond the festivities, the festival reflects our commitment to supporting local enterprise—creating a free business platform where food retailers can connect with consumers, share their unique offerings, and take meaningful steps toward growth and long-term sustainability.”

GTCO’s Food and Drink Festival is a key part of the Group’s broader mission to promote enterprise and foster economic inclusion. By offering an accessible platform for small food businesses—especially indigenous foodpreneurs—the event encourages innovation, visibility, and growth in the food and beverage sector.

Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, visit https://foodanddrink.gtcoplc.com.
