Stakeholders in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State are set to launch Tinubu 2027 Re-election Team.
The stakeholders, who met at the residence of the Lisa of Egbaland, Chief Yomi Olaogun, on Monday, said that their aim is to mobilize support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Leading the team, a former representative of Ifako-Ijaiye in the House of Representatives, Hon. James Owolabi highlighted the various landmark projects of President Bola Tinubu as the reasons he should be re-elected for  second term in office in 2027.
“Tinubu’s  presidency is a blessing to the entire Nigerians, and his various initiatives should be allowed to see the light of the day,” Owolabi said
Speaking on the side-line of the meeting with newsmen, a former commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in Lagos State, Dr. Idris Salako said that the infrastructural deficits being handled by the Tinubu-led presidency is beyond human comprehension, and that they should not be allowed to be cut short by the people he called the enemies of the country in the name of a coalition that he said lacks the blueprint of what they want to address in nation building.
He said, “The Lagos Calabar Costal Road, Badagry Sokoto 100 Kilometers Road Project, Enugu PortHarcourt Road, Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Expassion Road, EastWest Township Road, Students Loan, Youth Empowerment, 774 Mortgage Housing Projects, and other various initiatives embarked upon by President Bola Tinubu require eight years to be solidified.
“Hence, we must all ensure that we sensitize our people and orientate them to go back and mobilize from street to street, house-to-house and ensure that President Tinubu’s gospel is preached across the nooks and crannies of Lagos State, that is the mandate we got and we shall delivered on it,” Dr Salako stated.
The stakeholders also used the opportunity of the gathering to drum support for the APC Chairmanship candidate in the LCDA, Barrister Adenike Rosiji and all the seven wards councillors.
Hon. Emmanuel Olotu, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ifako Ijaiye Constituency 2, tasked party faithfuls to vote massively for APC candidates, adding that the Saturday July 12 election is a litmus test for the 2027 general elections.
“This Saturday July 12, 2025 local government election is the foundation that we are going to build upon. As a team, we are all behind the party’s candidates and we shall ensure that massive votes are garnered because as stakeholders we are seeing this as a test to what we will be able to pull at the polls in 2027.
“So, we are not going to joke with this council elections, we will do all we can to mobilize massively on Saturday July 12,” Hon. Olotu said.
The stakeholders further picked Thursday July 10, 2025 for the official launch of the Tinubu 2027 Group in Ojokoro LCDA.
Also present at the engagement were the Chairman of APC in Ojokoro, Hon. Jelili Oseni, and a former Managing Director of the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Mr Bolaji Sanusi.
Others included the apex leader Ojokoro of APC in Ojokoro LCDA and the Lisa of Egbaland, High Chief Yomi Olaogun, First Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Hon. Otunba A. A. Akindele among others.
