Former President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he remains committed to his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the leadership of President Bola Tinubu
This was just as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said that Buhari has not placed a call to him since he left office on May 29, 2023.
Buhari and Tinubu spoke on Tuesday at the launch of a book written on the eight years of Buhari in office by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina in Abuja, the FCT.
The book, titled: “Working with Buhari,” was presented to the public in Abuja by the former Special Adviser to the President.
The event was also attended by former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo (SAN); and former Head of State, General Yekubu Gowan, who served as the Chairman of the occasion.
In his remarks, Buhari said: “I remain committed to our party, All Progressives Congress, and the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Speaking at the close of the launch, President Tinubu revealed that Buhari had kept his promise not to interfere in his administration by staying in Daura, Katsina State, his hometown.
He said he has been the one calling the former president to enquire about his welfare, adding: “He has not even nominated anyone for any appointment.
“You served the country with dedication and uncommon zeal.”
