Akilu highlighted Kano State’s contribution of many important personalities, such as General Sani Abacha, General Murtala Muhammad Ramat, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, and others.
“I know a lot of people don’t know that Abdulsalami Abubakar is from Kano, so we Kano people are blessed,” Akilu added.

“We can’t thank our father, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, enough for coming up with this project for his hometown. We are really happy, as this hospital will save a lot of people,” the Emir said.
“We also want to thank Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil for making sure the project comes to reality; this gesture we will never forget. We also thank Brigadier-General Halliru Akilu for representing Babangida at this important event. May Allah reward them abundantly.”
