Femi Otedola, Aliko Dangote, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Among Honourees At 100 Most Notable Africans Summit In Rwanda

Femi Otedola, Chairman of First HoldCo Plc; Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL); and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), are among the distinguished individuals set to be honoured at the 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit in Kigali, Rwanda.

Scheduled to take place from July 4 to 6 at the Marriott Hotel, Kigali, the summit will also recognise cultural icons such as Damini Ogulu (Burna Boy) and Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, Kingsley Amafibe, Project Director of the 100 Most Notable Peace Icons in Africa, said the summit aims to promote cross-border collaborations and share best practices in key sectors such as agriculture, education, and healthcare.

Amafibe emphasized that the event is designed to celebrate the contributions of African leaders and businesses, while also inspiring the next generation. He noted that the summit will drive conversations around economic growth, entrepreneurship, innovation, governance, and education.

“The summit provides a platform to support startups, innovators, and small businesses through mentorship and market access,” Amafibe said. “Today, we honour trailblazers who are shaping Africa’s future and capturing the attention of global leaders and business executives.”

He further stressed the importance of visionary leadership, strategic governance, transparency, and partnerships in unlocking the continent’s full potential.

The summit is expected to attract a high-profile lineup, including Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State; Tony Elumelu, Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA); Biodun Fatoyinbo, Senior Pastor of COZA Global; music stars Tems and Diamond Platnumz; and Zainab Nasir-Idris, wife of the Kebbi State Governor, among others.
