FAYOSE EXPLODES: CALLS OBASANJO “A MAD MAN” AND “ZOO MATERIAL” IN SCATHING THANK-YOU MESSAGE — OBJ FIRES BACK, RETURNS MONEY

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, have reignited their long-running feud in dramatic fashion after Fayose sent what he termed a “thank you” message that quickly turned into a fiery verbal assault.

Obasanjo, through his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, on Monday released the shocking SMS sent by Fayose following his attendance at the ex-governor’s recent birthday celebration.

In the message, Fayose expressed “appreciation” to Obasanjo for honouring his birthday but launched into a barrage of insults, accusing the former President of making “irresponsible comments.”

The message read in part:

“Dear Baba Obasanjo, I appreciate your coming except for your very irresponsible comments at your age… someone once said you are supposed to be kept away in the zoo. Sincerely that’s where you belong.
I kept quiet so the world will know the difference between a sane and a mad man that you are… It is obvious you have also lost your sanity or is this dementia?
Not to worry Baba, I shall set the records straight in due course. Lastly, I shall appreciate if you return my money since you publicly admitted you received it but Dangote brought you back.”

Fayose concluded with: “Your leopard will never change his skin.”

Obasanjo, in a curt but calculated response, dismissed Fayose’s tirade, writing:

“Ayo, thanks for your ‘Thank You’ message which revealed who and what you are. Your money has been sent back through Foluso Adeagbo who brought it — in the same bag and unopened.”

The explosive exchange has sparked widespread reactions, marking yet another round in the turbulent relationship between the two outspoken political figures.
