Facts, Not Blackmail: Ijebu North East LG Chairman Thanks Dapo Abiodun for Transforming His Council

I asked my brother and friend, Kayode Akinmade, why some people insist that Governor Dapo Abiodun has not performed and even allege that he is “maltreating” local government chairmen. Kayode not only dismissed those claims as wildly misleading, he backed it up with a video from the Chairman of Ijebu North East Local Government, Otunba Dr. Oluseyi Oguntoye, openly appreciating Abiodun for the construction of the Obubu–Iworo road with drainage and culverts, the Luba–Erunwon road, rehabilitation of health centres, new classroom blocks, agric houses for garri production and multiple empowerment programmes for women and youths in his council.

That is just one local government area. Imagine the multiplier effect when you aggregate such interventions across Ogun State.

Before joining any bandwagon of condemnation, pause and verify. It is unwise, and frankly un-biblical, to tear down leaders based on propaganda instead of facts.

This does not mean there are no rooms for improvement, but honest criticism must be grounded in evidence, not blackmail.
