Expatriates Business Awards 2025 Set To Celebrate Global Impact On Nigeria’s Economy

Preparations are in full swing for the 2025 edition of the Expatriates Business Awards (EBA), a prestigious event that recognizes and honors the contributions of expatriates, foreign enterprises, and migrant communities to Nigeria’s economic development.
Speaking during a press briefing in Lagos, Miss Odunola Abayomi, Director of Awards, announced that this year’s ceremony will be held on Sunday, July 6th, 2025, at the Grand Ballroom of the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
“The Expatriates Business Awards is more than just an event,” Abayomi said. “It is a celebration of visionaries who, though not Nigerian by birth, have chosen to invest, innovate, and help shape our economic future. This award is our collective ‘thank you’ to those individuals and businesses contributing significantly to Nigeria’s GDP and job creation.”
Since its inception in 2020 as The Ethnic Business Awards (TEBA), the initiative has evolved into a platform of recognition and advocacy, celebrating diversity and fostering unity through business excellence. The event is powered by Pun Communications Ltd. and held under the auspices of the TEBA Foundation for Humanity.
This year’s ceremony promises an evening of cultural elegance and global synergy, featuring a rich mix of exhibitions, music, comedy, and performances that reflect Nigeria’s cosmopolitan spirit. The selection process includes public nominations, opinion polls, and independent research to ensure transparency and merit-based honors.
Miss Abayomi also reflected on the success of the inaugural edition, hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze and Ghanaian actress Ella Mensah, which set a benchmark for professionalism and inclusivity. “Our legacy is rooted in diversity,” she said. “With an expanded vision, we are more committed than ever to celebrating the migrant voices shaping Nigeria’s economy.”
Organizers have extended invitations to members of the media, diplomatic corps, business leaders, and the international community to participate in what is expected to be a landmark event in Nigeria’s business calendar.
