Ex-Oyo Governor, Abiola Ajimobi Dies Of COVID-19
Former governor of Oyo State, sen Abiola Ajimobi is dead.
Ajimobi, who was a Vice Chairman, and later acting chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) reportedly died of complications from the dreaded COVID-19 in an isolation centre in Lagos on Thursday.
Reports indicated that Ajimobi’s health relapsed days after he was showing signs of recovery from the ailment and that he was on life support for some days before he was eventually pronounced dead hours ago.
Sources Informed First Weekly that some leaders within the APC ensured that the former two-term governor of the South West state was on life support, hoping that he would come around
A source said an official announcement is expected from the family any moment from now.
