DSS Arrests 10 Boko Haram, ISWAP Suspects in Osun

The Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended 10 suspected members of Boko Haram and the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Ilesa, Osun State.
Olawale Rasheed, spokesperson for Governor Ademola Adeleke, confirmed the arrest and emphasized the state government’s commitment to supporting security agencies in their efforts to ensure the safety of Osun residents.
Governor Adeleke commended the vigilance of the DSS and other security operatives, crediting their intelligence-gathering capabilities for the successful operation. “This marks a significant step in countering the threat posed by these alleged terrorists,” he said.
The governor reassured the public of the government’s dedication to maintaining peace and stability in the state. He also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
“The diligence of our security forces has provided a sense of relief, not only to the state but to the entire nation,” Governor Adeleke stated. “We have full confidence in their ability to safeguard the lives and properties of our citizens.”
The Osun State government reiterated its unwavering support for security initiatives aimed at neutralizing potential threats and fostering a secure environment for residents.
