Dolapo Amusat, CEO WTS   Bags U.I Union of Campus Journalists Award In Entertainment

Dolapo Amusat, a graduate of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Ibadan, has been honoured by the University’s Union of Campus Journalists.
According to information made available to First Weekly Magazine, he was honoured based on his outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry.
Dolapo Amusat attended the International School, Ibadan and he is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of WeTalkSound – a 360 creative company.
Dolapo is a professional member of the Recording Academy (Grammys) in recognition of his influence in the global music industry.
He is one of the very few Africans uniquely positioned at the intersection of tech and creative industries.
He leads an organization that combines strong cultural relevance with a deep understanding of digital tech and community to do great and impactful creative work.
WTS, his organization, engages in designs, music videos, documentaries and recently produced the sound of Nollywood documentary series screened at the British Council. WeTalkSound also handles marketing campaigns for global artists, record labels and brands.
The award ceremony which took place on October 11, 2025 was tagged “The Famous Five,” and it was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life.
It is an annual award by Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ) UI to recognize 5 outstanding Nigerian professionals in different fields of endeavors.
Dolapo’s award was in the Entertainment category, and other awardees at the occasion included Professor Saheed Aderinto (Academic category), Babatunde Akintunde (Journalism category), Hon Oluwaseun Fakorede ( Politics category) and Ambassador Taiwo Ailogwehme (Enterpreneurship category).
