The Delta State Police Command has arrested the General Overseer of Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry, Sapele, Pastor Daniel Ololo, over allegations of defilement, rape and sexual assault.

According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, the arrest followed a petition received on 13 October 2025 alleging that the cleric had been sexually exploiting female members of his church.

Acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) commenced investigation. Pastor Ololo was subsequently arrested on 17 November 2025 at the church premises in Sapele.

Preliminary findings revealed that the suspect allegedly used fake prophecies to lure vulnerable members into his office, coercing them into believing that they required sexual intercourse with him to receive “deliverance.”

Further investigations uncovered that he allegedly had carnal knowledge of three sisters of the same mother, all members of the church, with the youngest aged 17.

The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
